Meeting: November 2, 1998
1. Call to order: Chairman Ort called the meeting to order at 2:05 pm
2. Attendance:

3. Minutes of Previous meeting: Ken Crague moved to approve the minutes with
the correction that Pete Kempf was in attendance. Second Pete Kempf. Motion
carried unanimously.
4. Financial Report: Pete Kempf moved to approve the following
claims: $35 to InterNic, $500 for the management stipend, and $675 for line-sharing
with Wabash Communinet. Second Ken Crague. Motion carried unanimously.
Mary Bowman report that there was $7,619.37 in the Access Indiana fund.
4. Administrative Coordinator Report: Tara reported that she has been working
on the website content and is continuing to seek information from DeKalb County
organizations for inclusion on the DCN site.
5. DCN sustainablility issues: The Board discussed options for generating revenue in the absence of Access Indiana Funding. These included advertising and grants. Pete reported that he has hand delivered the letter terminating DCN's agreement with CTLnet. Pete furthered that Mid-City is willing to donate space on their virtual server for the DCN website. Mid-City's only request is that the Board allow them to indicate on the front page that Mid-City has donated the space.

8. Next meeting date: The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting was scheduled for December 7 at 2:00 pm in the DeKalb County Courthouse Commissioner's Court on the second floor.
